Just for starters I googled price cardiac defibrolator and one of the first entries was a Philips HomeStart defib for $1,267 USD (new on amazon.com). So if just 10 of us put in, let's say, under $200 USD apiece/per family, we would have it. This doesn't mean that we don't actually need a $3,000 USD model (for some unknown reason like el syndrome de la camioneta grande), but it does tell me that this isn't just pie in the sky either.
