Mexico is big, beautiful and blessed with an abundance of natural resources including oil. Because of its proximity and similarities to the richest, most successful country the world has ever known, you would expect Mexico to fall onto the top of the heap. Instead it teeters for decades between a failed state and a narco state. Why? Where are the schools? Where are the hospitals? Where are the colleges? Where are the things that would raise up all of Mexico? Well, they don't exist because the wealth of Mexico is concentrated in the hands of a few who are not interested in change,only maintaining the status quo. It is irresponsible to hold up the Wall Street Journal as some great bastion of journalistic integraty, while completely ignoring the relationship between the richest of the rich and Rupert Murdock. You'll get no apology from me because Mexico and her people deserve better! |
