yes, absolutely. There are about 4 kinds of wood that are insect/termite resistant as well as humidity resistant that were recommended when we built 14 years ago...perota, primavera, cedar, and another whose name I have forgotten. We have not seen any signs of insect damage or warping. I have on houses with pine or other woods.
