A little more info from CNA: "Arlene is forecast to weaken over eastern Mexico...with the cyclone dissipating over the mountains of central Mexico by 36 hr. Several of the global models show a low pressure area forming along the Pacific coast of Mexico in 24-48 hr...which moves westward to the south of Baja California. Whether this is the remains of Arlene or a new system is speculative at this time". We're definitely seeing some "debris moisture" from the circulation off Arlene this morning and there are a few impressive red blobs offshore to the south of us, so maybe we'll get a few drops of rain out of Arlene. It's unusual to be watching the path of an Atlantic storm but this one was large enough to possibly affect weather on this side. |
