I have no idea, but thank you so much for complaining - I promised
not to and I'm having a very hard time with that. We've had another
.96/inch since midnight and it looks like we may get more today. No
big storms causing it, except that CNA this morning made some mention
of the remnants of Beatriz having an affect on EPAC weather. This last
rain seemed to be generated by convection offshore and to the south of us and the clouds we see now are definitely coming from that direction,
so who knows? Not me.

The good news is that it's nice and cool, even with fairly high humidity, and we actually slept with a blanket on the bed last night.

Our rainfall total as of right now is 6.77 inches and the L.M. average for July is 7 inches. The high for July, since 2004, was 15.89 inches in 2008- a July which included 5 storms, 3 of which were hurricanes. Three occurred during the early part of the month; T.S. Douglas - 2.81 inches on July 2nd, TD 5-E - 3.38 inches on July 7th, and Cat.2 Hurricane Elida - 1.47 inches on the 10th (a total of 7.66 inches- an eerily similar number to our current total). Note that a tropical depression was responsible for more rain than each tropical storm.

Our road is already in really bad shape so I haven't been down to check out the water level in the lagoon. Any reports of crocs on the
loose??
