I've never seen this before - a monsoon trough (very unusual in itself in the eastern Pacific), lying along the coastline and bringing a lot of moisture, but very little rain this week:

There is one little blob that may cross over from the Atlantic
and bring some rain to southern Mexico in the next few
days:

Temperature is 80F/26.7C this morning but humidity is 75%. A little like being in a sauna, but it could definitely be worse.

Sorry about all the rain in Colorado, Rick, but that's what happens when you choose to leave during the best time of the year! Our rain total this month is now up to 8.7 inches but with only two exceptions it's been in dribs and drabs. Yesterday produced only .02/in. even though it was overcast all day. This looks to be the about the same kind of day.

I love hearing from everyone during the summer - there are
some posters who disagree and think it's immaterial to this
board. I hope you'll keep letting us know what your summer
is like, no matter where you are - keeps us all in touch.
