We left La Manz on June 18 to return to our other home on Lake Chapala. There was no rain on our return until June 21. Since then, we have had 11.8 inches of rain fall into our back yard rain gauge. Two of the downfalls overnight were exactly 3" each. We have also had an inordinate number of gray days, some with no sun all day and some with only a few hours of sun. I put a marker on a tree that used to be way under water in the lake. The water level was just touching the lake-side base of the trunk. It is now 13 or 14 inches above the base of the trunk, so the lake is recovering from the dry season nicely. La Manz is beautiful. Lake Chapala is also beautiful and quite a large body of water at about 95 km long and up to 30 km wide. Arleen has already been booked into two shows here, this after only one audition. (The other one was the choice of the Director.) So we are happy being on a big body of water in the mountains. Hope to return to La Manz in early August to check things out.
