Whew. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Always good advice, especially when a big storm is expected. I was really wondering how they would evacuate a city as big as New York. I'm so glad it wasn't necessary. I have friends in New Jersey and they are cleaning a flooded basement but they are feeling very relieved. I live on Vancouver Island and the Winter was long and the summer short - I think I'll stop complaining now.
