record rainfall......

Our gauge registered 3.5 inches overnight - I'd have to go
back and look for rainfall associated with a tropical storm or hurricane to find that amount of rain in such a short period of time again (maybe later). This was the result of remnants of 8-E and the monsoon trough both hanging around offshore for the past two days - only .40/inch yesterday, mostly in the form of constant drizzle, but cool temperatures in the low to mid 70's are a welcome relief after a very hot August.

We'll have to see what CNA predicts this morning - the rest
of the weather sites don't seem to have a clue that we're even here right now.

The arroyo is running very fast and emptying into the ocean.
Not a pretty sight. Wonder what's happening with the laguna........Vickie??
