toward the Rocks

Swam ayer toward the Rocks. This year is the worst I've seen (in my 3 long yrs here)re cross currents. Even within the usually tranquil triangle between Lora Loka's the Rocks and Helga's (more or less in front of the jardin), the currents have been strong all summer, not allowing me to swim directly to the Rocks. I've had to adjust my swims, swimming across the currents in front of them, watching huge waves crash between the largest (center) Rock and the shore, riding them up and down.

Yesterday the water was so clear, a deep green. 86.4F. Today, the Rio has dumped into the bay, spreading its yuk far out into the bay. Likewise, the Laguna poured out into the bay.

Think I'll not swim today, as the crocs tend to come out when the Rio and Laguna run into the bay. Hopefully, only one day to wash it all out....

Two days ago I had several locals warning me of a 'shark' in the near waters. I'd actually swum out to the Rocks that day. I'd passed a huge floating tree. It had branches that probably from the shore looked like a 'fin'...
