I second this recommendation on the Holel Casa de Las Palomas. Rooms are not fancy but very clean and the parking is inside. There's a nice big roof deck that gives you a great overview of the town. In the evening, when all the shoppers and tourists are gone, it reverts back to a quiet little Mexican town with pozole stands on the main square and kids running around the quiet streets. Tlaquepaque is nice, but Tonala feels more authentic... and it's cheaper to stay there. |
