Thinking of all of you as I monitor Jova from way down here in the Yucatan. Can't believe that you had record rainfall almost as soon as we left town and now have the most serious hurricane threat since we arrived in La Manz in 2001. Soooo unfair! Not to make light of the threat, history says this one will also stay offshore but the amount of wind and rain in ths system is sure to create some havoc. This wind graphic just got my attention on the NHC site: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_ep5+shtml/145011.shtml?tswind120#contents Bret's doing a great job as official weather person but I haven't seen any local postings recently - maybe the electricity is already out (??).
