Since, perhaps like many of you, I am sort of like a long tailed cat in a room full of moving rocking chairs, I heard the light rain start about 4 a.m. Decided to check stormpulse http://www.stormpulse.com/pacific/tropical-storm-jova-2011 Saw that the track on this site, for Jova, has definately changed. Landfall was right over the SE part of Tenacatita Bay to right over Chamela. This appears to be a shift, up the coast, of perhaps as much as 40 miles. If this is true, it would seem that LM may indeed escape ever being in that inner circle contour for the highest winds near the eye. Wouldn't that be nice. Puts us on the wrong side of the eye with respect to surge potential though. Also looks like by noon on Wednesday, the eye should be on the other side of PV, about 150 miles away which would definately leave us outside any of the high wind contours and perhaps even the outer rain bands. But that is for tomorrow. Stay safe everyone. |
