Just a brief note this morning. It shifted off to the west a lttle last night, and weakened somewhat. But since it's projected to hit to our left, that's the bad direction for storm surge danger.

It's too iffy for us to stay here at 10-12 ft above sea level, so before the winds get too dangerous later today we're taking refuge with Clare (muy generosa!) up on the hill until it passes (and Junior comes to re-open the wiped out road...)

Right now there's no wind and steady moderate rain. We've had 0.45" since the wee hours when it started. Not too bad yet, but just watch out later!

We'll be checking in while the power and internet lasts, but who knows how long that will be?

Good luck everyone, and make sure you find safe shelter BEFORE the dangerous winds and possible storm surge flooding begins. Don't go out in it!
