couple more questions

Hi J,

I have a couple more questions on your adventure to ZLO.

You did not talk to even one police or military person going to the airport?

How fast did you drive, were you not worried about the safety of the road?

At any time did you drive in water?

How much and how fast was the water going under the road in the culverts.

Any photos?

How do you plan on finding out the results of the executives and road crews meeting?

Did the airport building / area look like it had been underwater at any
time? Was the parking area muddy?

How many persons were at the airport? Any taxis there?

Other questions not directed solely to you are -

Jay Allen posted above that Alaska Airlines response to questions about
road conditions was "if they can land and take off then they have done their job"
which seems reasonable. If that is the case then why are the executives
flying in for a meeting with the road crews? Do the executives have any effect
on the road crew decisions? Are they in any way liable for road conditions?

Driving through Cihuatlan today reveled that clean up is still
very much in progress and traffic is fairly slow going. I wonder if airport
closure decisions are affected by local road conditions, even if
road conditions are unfavorable in only one direction i.e. North
has issues but South no problem.

I would like to speak to some of those Alaska executives and get some
answers as to why information was so poorly gathered and distributed
to the public. Access to accurate information (up to the present moment) is
practically non existent. Do they have any plans on making some changes,
like a temporary web page or something?
