| dear rick, as you might know, jim and i moved to alabama in march. no reason except good weather, beautiful bay and small friendly town[fairhope]. at first we were shocked at the new law. the media jumped on it nation wide and locally. a few families went home to mexico. HOWEVER, now a few weeks later all has calmed down. The Mexican people are still at work and the children are not being terrorized in school. Police can only ask for papers if there is a crime involved. Jim and I were asked for our papers many times when we were going over the border.AND getting our FM3 or 2 in San Miguel was costly and difficult! I invite you, June and Lylle to come see for yourself. It is a lovely, kind part of the world. We miss you! Love to all in La Manz, Chip |
