FM3 Renewal for Dummies

Based on our trip to INM to renew our FM3 today, here's the skill testing questions: Question: What 5 things do you need to bring to re-new your FM3? Answer: 1. Renewal form filled out and printed from the INM website (They like this but forgive if you don't have it). 2. Copy of picture/data page of passport. 3. Old FM3. 4. Proof of income for last 3 months (If you can't print off copies yourself, they will allow you to e-mail them in the next day. 5. New photos (don't go to Melaque if you're in a rush ..... it's pick up the next day service. The photo place at Soriano does it right away). Pick up is 30 days later. By the way we went just before closing at 1:00 and were served instantly. No bank line-up either. Maybe everybody goes early to avoid the crowds???? Also, they waived our late penalty when we showed them the date of our cancelled flight and passport stamped date of entry into Mexico. Question: What are 5 reasons to get an FM3? Answer: 1. Can keep our foreign plated car in Mexico. Anybody have 4 more?
