La Catalina school has launched a new website, and has lots of new Spanish programs to offer during the fall/winter season! Please check out our new site at:

Thank you to June from for her great work on our site. By the way, for those needing a new website or to spruce up their current site, we highly recommend June who provides high quality work at accessible rates!

FYI, we offer our 15-hour a week small group Spanish immersions courses starting every Monday which runs year round (you must register for advance for these.) Group classes take place from 10am to 1pm or 4pm to 7pm. Four levels are available, including early beginners, beginners, intermediate and advanced classes. For more info, check:

Also, you may know that if you have kids ages 5 to 12 visiting La Manzanilla, we offer a very fun Spanish immersion program for them, doing arts and crafts, songs, cooking and activities ALL IN SPANISH! Local kids from the village are also invited to this program to create a truly fun, dynamic and authentic immersion experience. For more info on our kids program, check:

For our second season and back by popular demand, we will be offering drop-in intermediate and advanced conversation classes and adding a semi-intensive beginner’s Spanish class. Stay tuned for times & more information on our new classes, which will be posted here and on our website over the next few weeks. All classes held at La Catalina Natural Language School, just past the La Manzanilla art gallery.

Office hours will be available at La Catalina School beginning on Monday, November 7th so drop in and see what we have to offer you to help you with learning or moving towards mastery of Spanish. (November 7 – March 31 office hours: M-F from 11am-2pm).
