Hello Bill, We manage the “Wings” Scholarship program and currently have 21 youth from La Manzanilla on scholarship, from ages 13 to 21 years of age, see: http://www.lacatalinafoundation.com/wings-scholarships-home/ Some of the kids in the program do not have their own computers and it has been a dream to be able to provide a computer to some of the kids who come from the most disadvantaged families. If you would like to see your laptop go to an underpriveledged youth in the community, we can certainly arrange this. Alternatively, it could be donated to one of the schools (I believe there is more need in the elementary school at the moment than the middle school.) The laptop should ideally be set up with Microsoft Office 2010 (in Spanish) and an anti-virus protection. Felipe in town at Compu Plus can assist you with installing any of these programs, and I am sure he would do it at a very reasonable price, as he is continually looking out for helping youth in the community.
