Sunday, November 20th is Mexico's Revolution Day, celebrating their independence from Spain. If you are lucky enough to be in Mexico this weekend, you'll find lots of events around the holiday. One of the best traditions is the traditional "disfile" or parade put on by the school children. Each class usually dresses up as one of the major players in the revolution; the peasant fighters, the solders, the Spanish aristocrats, the farmers. The parade is usually followed by a celebration in the main square. In La Manzanilla look for the parade to kick off around 8:30 am.
