This is our 7th season in LM and this is the 1st time that we have seen Crocs in the ocean. It is not unusual for them to be in the water in a real rainy period when the lagoon is open, but again, this is the first time we have seen one this time of year. Based on what we saw last week when one was crusing up and down the beach for 2+ hours, people still went in the water but is they saw it fairly close or if someone pointed it out, they would get out of the water. D's picture not-with-standing, that one did not come very close to the beach.

Over the years, we have seen them down in the water between what is now the back beach road and the ocean and many folks will walk within 10 feet of them in the water. (I don't). I have also seen folks get very close to them. From time to time a dog will get caught, again, when there is water in the area between the ocean and the recently replaced back road to Boca.

We do have the story of the famous pooch, Paco the Croco Taco, who went to get a drink there and was grabbed, but managed to escape. He had a couple of nasty bite marks and lived to be taken to BC (where he is freezing his ass of and longing for the beach in LM)
