Drop-In Spanish Classes Starting Up Again!

Posted by La Catalina School on November 28, 2011, 12:05 pm

Are you an intermediate or advanced level Spanish speaker, needing more conversation practice? We are inviting you to attend our drop-in conversation classes starting this Thursday, Dec. 1st. This is the second season we will be offering this program.

How do these classes work? It’s easy! You just show up at La Catalina School (just past La Manzanilla Art Gallery—no reservations are required.) Bring a notebook and a Spanish/English dictionary, if you like.

Intermediates: TUESDAYS 12pm-1:30pm

Advanced: THURSDAYS 12pm-1:30pm

Typically, the group will read an article or text excerpt to jump start a lively conversation, guided by our native Spanish speaking teacher, about topics of interest (current events, cultural topics and more!) The cost is just 120 pesos for the 90 minute class. Looking forward to seeing you back and having first-timers participate!

If you are a beginner with not enough Spanish to join the drop-in conversation classes, you can join the 15-hour weekly intensive course or, for those wishing to go at a slower pace, you can join our NEW beginner’s flexible “Get the Basics” immersion course. Please email us at for info on this new class for beginners.
