Motorscooter

Hello All,

I have had the idea of buying a motor-scooter down in Mexico. Likely, in Manzanillo. I will not be travelling around Mexico -- just staying in La Manzanilla and going to local places.

I know that the purchase of such item is not a problem; it's the registration, plates and insurance that are. I am staying for three months+ and will - i assume - be on a standard tourist visa.

My understanding is that I would need a "Residency Visa" of some kind and a stable address.

Does anyone have any actual experience/knowledge that help in terms of whether I can make this a reality or should I just let it go.
