Tenacatita

From Dobie,
In Sept. 21, 2011, 3 supreme court justices in Guadalajara reviewed the Tenacatita case and said that Villalobos had to return the property to the way it was, and pay for damages. Villalobos submitted an amparo to suspend their decision until there was a hearing. The hearing was supposed to take place yesterday, Nov. 29. Unfortunately it didn't happen because the judge needed a paper from the municipality of La Huerta. I wasn't able to find out whether the municipality was asked for the paper and didn't send it, or if they were never asked. So the hearing was postponed and the new date hasn't been set.

Tomorrow the congressmen who have been helping us are going to meet with the supreme court justices. With them will be the people from here who have concessions (which Villalobos has violated) - Pancho (Fiesta Mexicana), Chito (Restaurant Chito) and the fishing cooperative.

Regarding the federal zone, Villalobos filed 4 demandas - 2 against SEMARNAT (the environmental agency that gives the concessions) - one in Mexico and one in Guadalajara. They also filed 2 against PROFEA (the environmental enforcement agency) in Mexico and in Guadalajara. Their concession ends of January 6, 2012.

So once again it's a matter of having patience and waiting - something that's getting harder and harder to do.
