The number to call to make an anonymous denunciation with PROFEPA, who is responsible for enforcing the environmental laws created by SEMARNAT, is: 800-770-3372. There is a new administration in, which usually means that the Director has not yet been completely corrupted and might actually act to do something about it if, in fact, an environmental infraction has been made, which I am not saying is the case. To the best of my knowledge, official permission is required before cutting trees down in Mexico.
