I will be offering a whale watching tour this Tuesday, Dec. 20. It meets at 8:30 a.m. in front of Cato´s Restaurant. There are already 4 people signed up so I can fit 6 more.

Binoculars and snack are provided. I also have a hydrophone on board with speakers so that we can hear what´s going on in the underwater world.

Of course we cannot guarantee that we will see whales, but the humpbacks have definitely returned to the bay to mate and calve. We do our very best to find them and even head outside the bay if we have to. We usually at least see dolphins and/or sea turtles. If, after 3 hours, we have not seen any whales, then we give the option of heading into La Vena mangrove to see some birds and learn about mangrove ecology.

Price for the 3-4 hour tour is $650 pesos / person.

Thanks!
