Travel to Guad by car

We recently arrrived in LM by car from Guadalajara.

Against the advice of my better half, we came down 54/80 through Autlan and La Huerta (±5 hours from GDL).

She says we would have been better served by taking the cuota through Colima to Manzanillo, and then up Hwy 200.

How do YOU access Guad from here?
