I love driving through Autlán, beautiful landscapes, mountains, waterfalls when it rains, small towns, etc. but I don't recommend it for first timers.

Through Auntlán is 300km, very difficult narrow road, about 5 hours driving, maybe 60km/h average speed.

Through Colimaa and Manzanillo, is 400km, road in very good conditions, 100-120km/h average speed in a good car, so you can make it in 4 hours.
