Thank you all - what a helpful community! I got some delivered to my gate by Michel. Monty, I used to make coconut milk in Trinidad; there, everyone uses it for their rice and peas dish, and of course, it would be easy to get the coco here, but you need hard coco, a blender or grater and cheesecloth, etc. (I'm conserving time and energy for more painting.) Interesting that Mexicans don't use it to cook with, except for dulces, I guess. |
