I realize that this intruder was so quiet they did not even disturb your dog. Nevertheless, how about if we all keep our cameras at hand. If we see a person on our property - we take a photograph. Perhaps a few flashes from our cameras will help identify and deter. I have read a couple of posts recently where the robber was partially seen. In the panic of the moment we don't necessarily think of taking a photograph, but this may be a way to find out who this is.
