More info on the murder. For those of you who wanted to know what happened: A friend and a friend visiting him (both are from Salt Spring Island, BC) returned from the Cisco's Amigos benefit concert in La Manzanilla, stopped to have a couple of tacos, then went home around 1 AM. They were sitting and talking, when they heard some noises, opened the front door, looked around, saw nothing, locked the door and continued their conversation. Then they heard foot steps on the roof, a few seconds later 2 masked guys came running down the stairs, one waving a small gun, yelling at them. One of the guys grabbed 2 bags belonging to the victim, who got upset, got up and into a scuffle with the perp with the gun and thus was shot. I just found out that probably the same perps accosted another Canadian couple in the street earlier last night (around 9:45 PM). |
