Melaque and environs have had the same sort of theft as in La Manz. This appears to be a one-off incident since it did not involve drug dealers and did involve a pistol and masks. I have not heard one way or other as to whether the robbers appeared drugged. We are speculating that the police officer quoted is well-known to many of us as a former waiter at Roosters and an ex-attendant at the Pemex Service Station...who happens to have good English, but possibly needs a bit of training in PR -- not to mention, a bit more experience with the local community. It is ludicrous to suggest that this is a common occurrence and even more ludicrous not to insure that any reward money goes to a person who is not known to be controversial. If you go to the meeting, hang on to your bucks until something is posted that indicates a responsible adult is in charge.
