Aloha, Have been watching your challenges with crime. Here on the Big Island of Hawaii we have similar problems of break ins and home invasions. Just two days ago five men went to a 78 year old woman's home and held her while they robbed her in broad daylight. A couple of weeks ago a friend of ours had thieves in their downstairs area about ready to rob them but were thwarted when lights were turned on. When the police,who also do very little about these types of crimes, came out, they did have a good action to take for future events. Keep your car keys with alarm button (if you have one) next to your bed. If you hear prowlers hit the alarm and hopefully that will scare them off. Seems like a viable idea anywhere, anytime. Poverty breeds crime, unfortunately for innocent people. Good luck planet earth.
