True, statistics used in this way are meaningless. But here is a useful one "Z" (why can't you use your own name?). One million Canadian travel to Mexico each year. Over the past 5 years, about 3 per year have been killed. So there is a 0.0003% chance I could be killed in Mexico this year. If I factor in that I don't go to bars, clubs or resorts where criminal elements hang out, those odds get significantly better. Go to La Manzanilla, the chances are statistically 0%. Somehow, this idea of having vigilanty private security groups running about taking the law into their own hands doesn't work for me. |
