Sounds like a delightful neighborhood Angel, like one where I lived, my first location in LM. I did leave, moved up into the burbs, more commonly called Gringo Gulch, even though there are foreigners from Countries other than the USA building up on that hillside, some locals call it that. And then I moved again, going with the flow, and now I live in an area of Mexico where there is considerably less crime than what I keep hearing about in the Costa Alegre area. The go with the flow advice is really good general advice, yet this is a specific problem, which may require a slightly different approach? I don't know the answer, maybe that is it, too simply accept everything that happens, go with the flow, but I really do feel for the residents there, those whom are property owners. Maybe they are concerned for their safety. Also there are those relatives of and others whom visit LM whom are really concerned, and maybe the go with the flow approach does not work too well for assuaging their concerns? Just some thingz to think about. Peace...
