A couple of ideas, find a plant pot that you like that is the right height etc. have glass cut to use as the top or put cheap wood on top and put a cloth on it. One can do either round or square but round is lovely. If you use glass, one can put sand in and have shells below the glass and then with a lamp on it, it looks great. Just a suggestion.
