Or, use the local bottled water. I have been using it in my rig for years and the major issue seems to be calcium buildup in the container. The easy fix is to fill the container with vinegar when needed; dissolve the sediment; and rinse clean.

I think most CPAP/BIPAP/APAP outfits produce water vapor by heating the water...much as a still, and leave behind the impurities.
