No comment on the quality of the local knife sharpener, but the two that we know of on Lake Chapala (excuse the expression) butcher one's knives. Can you comment on your experience with this one? Does he announce himself, as in most places, with a flute? We have two full sets of knives (about 30 of them) that we take once a year or so to Sayula to the Ojeda Brothers world-renowned knife factory. We go have lunch while they sharpen all of our knives to a professional hone for $10 pesos apiece. Sayula is a delightful city about 3 hours north of La Manz just off of the cuota to Guadalajara. |
