You are likely right, Abram, that the local people have no appetite to listen to more promises from politicians, particularly before an election. Probably they want action.

Many of us foreigners put up money to finish the sewer system two years ago. The money disappeared without being spent on sewers. There just may be some level of distrust now present.

There might be enough believers still around, though, to circulate a petition to the CEA calling for a completion of the system, including storm drainage. The cynics won't come to yet another meeting but they might sign a petition.
