Rental needed

I have been here since early Jan stuck in rental hell. The absentee landlord has rented us a dive with so many things wrong with it - iit would sound like a rant. My partner arrives in a week and we need a new place for 6 weeks. We would appreciate some privacy, working facilities, wifi and quiet. Can afford a reasonable amount up to $1000/ month. We are good tenants as we both have had tenants of our own back home on Salt Spring BC.
