So I am not sure if this info makes it to La Manzanilla specially to the foreign community, but their is a bit of a controversy going on in Melaque with some of the recent crimes, and it seems like the Government would do anything to keep tourist from leaving or coming back. I think that it might make people think twice before giving us so much bad press internationally. I don't think this necessarily helps the issue but now only creates new ones for those who cant "escape" Mexico. F.Y.I.: the accused are not allowed to speak to anybody, no family members and lawyer is not allowed to review the "incriminating evidence" to be able to defend them.
