I tried lots of things, but it looks like the problem was with my DNS server. I was using Comodo's secure server for the last several months with no problems, but when I changed back to the default server from the ISP (TelMex), the problem went away. So far, anyway...

In addition to the Yahoo Mail server, we also couldn't access twitter.com, believe it or not! But all our other websites were fine. You can have some really weird internet accessibility issues when the DNS isn't working right.
