We recorded 0.80" since Fri AM, for 0.97" total since it began. So for a change, the Weather Underground forecast was pretty accurate.

Their latest forecast (http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/hdfForecast?query=manzanillo%2C+mexico&searchType=WEATHER) is:
90% today (0.5" rainfall accumulation),
90% tonight (1.1"),
70% Sunday (0.8"),
then tapering off to 20% Sunday night through Monday night.

Judging by the infrared satellite loop (http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/west/epac/flash-avn.html), I would expect the rain to taper off the rest of this morning. After that who knows? There are some heavier thunderstorms well to our south coming ashore in Michoacan and maybe Oaxaca.

The Mexican weather service (http://smn.cna.gob.mx/boletin/discusion/discusion.html) shows about the same as yesterday.

We only got up to 75F/24C yesterday. It won't warm back up until the clouds and rains depart. At least we only had the one spell of strong gusty winds yesterday. And no snow!

It's too bad so many events are being cancelled by the rain. This is pretty rare: since Deanna started recordkeeping in 2004, this is only the 3rd February with any rain (0.06" in 2007, 6.24" in 2010, and 0.97" so far in 2012.) I don't usually chaeck the forecasts every day this time of year, so this caught me by surprise too!
