Hi I love La Manzanilla and visit often,and I also visit Sayulita (a town north of PV) and other places in Mexico. Since many of us are concerned about crime,I thought I'd pass on this excerpt from the Sayulita newsletter:...... One thing that is being done is rental property owners are giving a set amount of money (based on the number of rentals) to a fund, which funds two new police patrol cars, and the police themselves, to continually drive through all areas of Sayulita, stopping suspicious people, checking on suspicious activity, etc. Most properties now have built-in safes (they hardly existed five years ago). Just a thought,maybe this type of thing is already being considered? |
