La Manzanilla 2012 When : Saturday, Febuary 25th 2012 Why : Have Fun on the water, meet new & old friends, after the race come to La Manzanilla for “A Night under the Stars” live auction and party in support of La Catalina Educational Foundation in La Manzanilla’s main plaza on Saturday, February 25 from 6-10pm. How : Enter online at Vallarta Yacht Club or show up at 6:00 PM Friday February 24 at the party (location TBD). Listen to morning Cruiser Net VHF Ch. 22 8:30 for further information. Skipper's meeting on the beach at 11:00 AM Saturday February 25th . Starts: There will be a start for each class. Start times will be announce at the Roll Call 30 minutes before the first start. First Class or boat starts at 12:45 PM Classes : Cruiser /Racer Class, Racer Class and Dinghy/Beach Cats Courses : Start/finish line in front of La Manzanilla. There will be distance race of 9 to 12 miles. To be selected based on the wind and announced at the Skippers meeting Contacts: sss@vallartayachtclub.org The morning of the event: MV Yemaya Sponsors : Vallarta Yacht Club The Cruiser/Race Class will appeal to owners of cruising-oriented boats that are not competitive for current PHRF racing, but whose owners and crews would like to test their skills with other similar, displacement-oriented boats (lightweight “hotrods” need not apply) WARNING: This is a great time to test your boat before sailing in the up-coming Banderas Bay Regatta
