Here´s the weekly schedule (March 5-12) of eco-adventures with SUPlaneta located at 49 María Asunción next to the ice cream store and in front of Lidia´s Aborrotes: • Mangrove Birding Tour (binoculars and bird list included, meets at 5:30 p.m. under the footbridge at the mouth of the mangrove; just follow the boardwalk and don´t pay the entry fee, $300 pesos / person, 4-person min., 16-person max.): o Mon., March 5: SOLD OUT o Fri., March 9: 12 spaces left o Mon., March 12: 16 spaces left • Morning Birding Tour: (includes transportation, binoculars, spotting scope) Departs from SUPlaneta office at 8:00 a.m. and goes till 10:00 a.m. We will check out some local hot birding spots within the tropical dry forest where we´ll see a variety of song birds and birds of prey, and a nearby wetlands where we will pick up shore and water birds. Natural history interpretation of tropical dry forest ecosystem provided as well. $400 pesos / person, 4-person min., 6-person max. o Tues., March 6: 6 spots left o Thurs., March 8: 6 spots left • Half Day Birding Safari (binoculars, spotting scope and snack included) Departs at 8:00 a.m. from SUPlaneta office and returns at noon. We hit some very hot birding spots along the Costalegre going all the way to the Chamela-Cuixmala Biosphere Reserve. $750 pesos / person, 3-person min., 6-person max. o Tues., March 6: 6 spots left o Thurs., March 8: 6 spots left • Whale Watching Tour (binoculars, hydrophone and snack included, meets at 8:30 a.m. in front of bridge over arroyo where all the fishing boats are), $650 pesos / person): o Fri., March 2: 4 spaces left o Wed., March 7: 2 spaces left o Fri., March 9: 10 spaces left • Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Instruction / Tour (all equipment, digital photo of your SUP adventure, drinking water and small snack included, meets at 9:00 a.m. in SUPlaneta office, tour goes to La Manzanillita rocky reef and back, $550 pesos / person): o Custom dates available by request. And inquire about SUP surf instruction if you´re interested in learning how to surf one—tons of fun! • Stand Up Paddle Board Rentals (we have a wide variety of SUP boards to choose from depending on your needs, $200 pesos /1 hour, $300 pesos / 2 hours, $400 pesos / 3 hours, $550 pesos / all day rental, 10% discount on weekly rentals) • Cuzalapa Cultural Coffee & Birding Tour: Join us for an inland adventure to the Sierra Manantlán Biosphere Reserve where we´ll visit the women´s coffee cooperative “Color de la Tierra”. You´ll get a bird´s eye view of a century-old shade-grown coffee plantation and of the many birds that inhabit this unique habitat as we observe them within the coffee plantation canopy. As well, you´ll learn first-hand from the women who started and run this cooperative how it all works. Your bilingual guide provides interpretation. And, of course, you´ll get to sample the tastiest local organic shade-grown coffee in the region. Binoculars, snack and nutritious and delicious lunch prepared by the cooperative included. Departs SUPlaneta office at 8:00 a.m. and returns at 4:00-5:00 p.m. $1,050 pesos / person. 4-person min., 6-person max. o Custom dates available by request.
