One of the town's tamale vendors is our next-door neighbor Juan. He drives his red 3-wheel moto-truck all around town most weeknights from 6-ish to 10-ish selling delicious tamales and atole (a hot sweet thick drink.) Just listen for the "beep-beeeep". He usually has plain corn and usually also corn filled with green chile, cheese, chicken, or pork ribs. He sometimes also sells his wife Judit's yummy deserts: choco-flan, cheesecake, rice pudding, etc. Saturday and Sunday nights they usually set up a table in the Jardin across from the church. And if you need a bunch of tamales for a party, just come by their house a few days in advance to order them. Calle Tamarindos #69, next to the metal shop, just a few doors away from the Jardin.
