These pix show just what the place looked like when I visited in February '95. It sustained major damage in the earthquake later that year. A year or two later, some Germans tried to get it back up and running, but abandoned the project when it turned out to be too costly to repair. Some friends and I went out last year and had to check in with a gate guard to get onto hotel property, but the road to the hotel and beach was okay. Jova may have changed that.
