Daniel, you are brilliant. Where many others have failed, you have found the lost day in time. Apparently the Old Testament book of Joshu recorded that the Sun “stood still” for an entire day during the creation of the earth, resulting in a lost day in the earth's history. The story often circulates that NASA scientists, using computers to calculate orbits for the Earth and Sun, discovered that there was, in fact, a “lost day.” But they don't know where it went. Some of you may know that the tiny nation of Samoa cancelled Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. Because Samoa lies very close to the international date line, there were out of synch with their nearby trading partners. Hence the adjustment to their calendar. So, our entire civilization lost a day somewhere and the Samoans have lost two. Daniel has found one of them, right here in La Manzanilla. We may expect the president of Samoa here to claim it though. |
