I am here in LM during a week that can only be described similiar to any coastal village, town or city during spring break either in Canada or the USA, only difference is, it is all about the family (-ies). Today, Easter Sunday is almost back to normal, I was here last July and it was about the same. Guess what, for all those individuals who say they love Mexico and especially LM but have to leave before Easter week, you missed something special. Yes, there is noise beyond belief at night (but certainly no worst than Rodeo week in February). You need to be here to feel the pulse of the families, their neighbours and friends. And for those who say they don't bring anything positive to the community, crap, they bring a lot, the majority of stores and eating places (which has tripled) are booming. The police are present, the place is orderly to an extent, and everyone is happy (with exception of several people who live around Los Titos at midnight, that was pretty intense).

There are fair weather sailers in the world and we have our fair share of fair weather holiders but next year, don't be so fast to escape. LM does not need you but you, if you want to really understand our commiunity, you need to stay. Do you need to do it year after year, probably not but once or twice will not kill you and you will get to enjoy the Mexicans enjoying their country.

I am so very glad I found LM four years ago and decided to build and become part of a community that I can only describe as very special. We have a great support network in town, I can not thank enough the likes of Daniel, the men's breakfast, and the many people we have grown to enjoy, especially the MEXICANS, I can only say, thank you for accepting us into your village.......your wonderful!!!!
